This policy explains what personal data RIG-PRO Solutions collects when you use this website, the RIG-PRO desktop suite, and the RIG-PRO Android apps — Toolbox and Scientific Calculator — why we collect it, and what control you have over it.

1. Who we are

RIG-PRO Solutions (“RIG-PRO”, “we”, “us”) builds engineering software for drilling and completions operations. For any question about this policy or about the data we hold on you, contact us at info@rigprosolutions.com.

2. What we collect

Information you give us

Enquiry details. When you submit the contact form we receive your name, work email address, company or organization, the inquiry type you selected, and your message.
Newsletter address. If you subscribe to operational updates we store the email address you provide, and nothing else.
Account details. Access to the Solutions Portal, the hydraulics simulator, and the Toolbox web build requires an account. Authentication is operated on our behalf by Clerk, Inc. Depending on how you sign in, Clerk holds your email address, your name, and — where you use Google or Microsoft single sign-on — the profile identifier returned by that provider. We also set a role (for example admin or customer) that determines what you can open.

Information collected automatically

Session cookies. Clerk sets cookies that keep you signed in. Without them the portal cannot work.
Language preference. We store a NEXT_LOCALE cookie so the site opens in the language you chose. It contains a language code and nothing more.
Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data — IP address, timestamp, requested URL, user agent — for security and reliability.

We do not run advertising trackers, and we do not sell or rent personal data to anyone.

Engineering data in the applications

The RIG-PRO desktop suite is offline-first: well data, fluid formulations, daily reports, and the calculations derived from them are held on your own machine and, where your organization has enabled synchronization, within your organization’s own account. That operational data belongs to your organization. We do not mine it, and we do not use it to train models.

The Android apps

RIG-PRO Scientific Calculator collects nothing. It has no account, makes no network requests, contains no advertising and no analytics; your calculation history and your settings are written to the app’s private storage on your own device and never leave it. Uninstalling the app removes them.

RIG-PRO Toolbox performs its calculations on your device in the same way. Where you sign in to use it alongside the rest of the suite, the account details described above apply.

3. Why we use it

To answer your enquiry and, where you asked for one, arrange a demonstration.
To create and secure your account and to enforce the access level assigned to it.
To send the operational updates you subscribed to, until you unsubscribe.
To keep the service available, diagnose faults, and detect abuse.
To meet our legal, tax, and accounting obligations.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on your consent for the newsletter, on the performance of a contract for account and licensing data, and on our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and securing the service for the remainder.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with the processors that make the service run, and only to the extent each of them needs:

Clerk, Inc. — authentication and account management.
Our hosting and email providers — serving this website and delivering the messages you send us.
Google LLC — distribution of the RIG-PRO Toolbox and RIG-PRO Scientific Calculator apps through Google Play, which is governed by Google’s own privacy policy.

We may also disclose data where a law, a court, or a regulator validly requires it, or to establish or defend a legal claim.

5. International transfers

Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where data leaves the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the transfer is covered by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or another approved safeguard.

6. How long we keep it

Enquiries: up to 24 months after our last correspondence with you.
Newsletter addresses: until you unsubscribe.
Accounts: for as long as the account is active, then up to 90 days after closure.
Server logs: up to 30 days, unless retained longer for a security investigation.

7. Your rights

Subject to your local law, you may request access to the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, object to or restrict how we use it, ask for a portable copy, and withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@rigprosolutions.com and we will respond within one month. If you are in the EEA or the UK and you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to your national data protection authority.

8. Security

Access to the portal and to the simulator is authenticated on every request, and the simulator’s application files are served only to signed-in users rather than published as public static assets. Traffic is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we will notify you and the relevant authority as required by law if a breach affects your data.

9. Children

RIG-PRO is professional engineering software. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

10. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page, and we will tell account holders directly when a change materially affects them.
